Myth: "If my data is lost, the cloud provider will compensate me."
Reality: Most agreements limit liability. Cloud providers generally do not insure the business value of lost media or IP. For filmmakers, a lost day of shooting or irreplaceable footage cannot be recovered through a service credit.
Myth: "Cloud storage means my data is automatically backed up."
Reality: Cloud storage is not a backup strategy. Recovery depends on configured versioning, replication, or backup policies, which are not always enabled by default.
